Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the mosAIc Google Sheets add-on and backend service ("mosAIc", "the Service"). By requesting a key or using the Service, you agree to these terms. mosAIc is currently a private beta operated by an individual developer. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The beta

mosAIc is provided as an early-stage, invite-only beta. It may change, break, be rate-limited, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Features and limits are not guaranteed.

2. Your key and access

• Keys are issued to specific people. Keep your mosaic_live_… key private — don't share or publish it.
• You are responsible for activity under your key. Tell us immediately if it may be compromised.
• We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke any key at our discretion, especially for abuse or excessive cost.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, deceptive, or that violates others' rights.
• Attempt to overwhelm, reverse-engineer, or circumvent limits, authentication, or security of the Service.
• Resell or provide the Service to third parties, or use it to build a competing service.
• Submit content you don't have the right to process, or sensitive/regulated data (see the Privacy Policy).

4. AI output — accuracy and your responsibility

mosAIc generates output using AI models. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or offensive, and can vary between runs. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before you rely on it, use it, or share it. mosAIc output is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice.

5. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties (including Google, OpenRouter and the AI providers it routes to, Supabase, and Upstash). Your use is also subject to their terms, and we're not responsible for their acts, omissions, or availability.

6. Costs

The beta may be offered free of charge or under usage limits we set. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we'll give notice before charging you. We may change or enforce quotas at any time to manage cost.

7. Intellectual property

You keep all rights to the content you submit and, as between you and us, to the output generated for you. We keep all rights to the mosAIc software, brand, and backend. Don't use our name or branding without permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mosAIc and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior three months or US $50.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless mosAIc and its developer from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. 4, 8, 9, 10) will survive.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use means you accept the changes.
